REMEMBERING JASON MOLINA
Tuesday was the eighth anniversary of the passing of singer-songwriter and Alt Country pioneer Jason Molina.
The day was marked by an outpouring of tributes across all social media platforms from fans and artists alike.
Secretly Canadian, the record label that published Molina's self titled debut full length record under the Songs: Ohia name (well-known to fans as "The Black Album"), posted a loving tribute to Jason, encouraging fans to share their memories of him and his music.
Singer-songwriter and Fiddle Goddess Amanda Shires, who recently took home a Grammy for Best Country Song along with her Highwomen counterparts, also encouraged her followers to join her in listening to Jason Molina's music in his memory.
She also shared a brief snippet of a beautiful rendition of the Songs: Ohia classic "Just Be Simple" that she performed live at the Chicago Music exchange.

Everyone at The New Outlaws adore Jason's music and we are very honored to be featuring a Songs: Ohia track at the tail end of this weekend's show.
